RSS und Traffic

Dave Winer bezieht in seinem neuen Blog Really Simple Syndication unter dem Titel „Would a big media company lose traffic if they supported RSS?“ Stellung zu der Frage, ob das Zurverfügungstellen eines RSS-Feeds negative Auswirkungen auf den Traffic einer Website hat.
Dabei kommt er zu dem Ergebnis, dass die Vorteile von RSS die möglichen Nachteile bei weitem überwiegen:

The one place where you may lose a little flow is the home page of each publication, since the feeds basically reproduce the content on the home page. But I think this is more than offset by the gains in flow achieved through the feeds.
